Who’s Carrying Your ‘Journey of Life’ Baggage?

The country of Nepal, located in southern Asia, is best known for the majestic Himalayan Mountains. Mount Everest plays the starring role, as many seek to conquer its incredible height by climbing. To reach the top requires extensive training, the highest quality equipment, and an expert to guide you. Perhaps the most important of all three is the guide. In Nepal, these guides are called sherpas. These natives not only guide but carry the climber’s equipment, which is usually more than 100 pounds. In order to reach the top of Everest, a sherpa is a must.

We can compare the journey of life to that of climbing a mountain like Mount Everest. When we are young, we find ourselves at the base of the mountain. There’s really no need for specific gear, aside from proper walking shoes maybe. The journey is easy. As a child, we recover quickly from injury, get plenty of sleep, don’t worry much, and eat what we want.

As we begin our ascent, we may not even realize it because the incline is so slight. Yet, we are still moving forward in our journey of life, into our teen years and early adulthood. Many of us play sports, enjoying the intensity of it. But that also comes with more intense injuries from fractures, concussions, and even surgery to repair things. Again, we recover quickly. We are young. Eating what we want, when we want – like those midnight fast-food runs!

Climbing still further up that mountain, we begin to feel the incline. We need more gear to keep us moving forward. The sherpa is ready for this. In our life, our 20s and 30s mean career and kids. This also means lack of sleep, a more sedentary lifestyle, and a body that takes on a bit more weight than it should. But, it seems to be the norm for people your age so you just accept it.

As the climb continues, the oxygen levels get thinner, the temperature decreases, and the journey much more difficult. Thank goodness for the sherpa and all that extra gear. If only we had a sherpa in real life! Unfortunately, we are our own sherpa, carrying all the baggage we accumulate over the years. From extra weight from lack of exercise; fatigue from lack of sleep due to career, kids, hot flashes, pregnancy, and worry; to injuries we might have sustained from accidents or falls. In other words, life happens.

The good news is that we can choose to offload some of the “gear” we are carrying as our own sherpa through self-care. In other words, we can choose to lose that extra weight, we can choose to help ourselves handle stress through massage or working out, we can choose to resolve that pain we have been dealing with for years. A solution like this does not just happen. It requires a commitment to oneself and the desire for change.

Reversing Sedentary Lifestyle Health Risks

Physical inactivity is on the rise, both at home and work. If we compare ourselves to older generations, access to technology and convenience has encouraged this lack of movement. Not to mention commuting to work and school in increasingly congested areas. Then sitting for hours at a desk each day only to head back home to sit for dinner and finally go to bed. Modern society almost requires a sedentary lifestyle. And we have accepted this wholeheartedly. However, research is revealing a direct correlation between this inactive lifestyle with certain health risks.

It requires effort to exercise regularly. We also need to dedicate time to do it. And while it does not provide immediate results, like what we are conditioned to expect with our digital world, we need patience, too. All things our modern day society does not promote. Yet, this same research is also looking at what it will take to change this unhealthy trend. For example, to reverse the health risks of sitting for eight hours a day, 60 minutes of exercise may be required. Think about that for a moment.

Perhaps you are wondering what could be so bad about sitting for extended periods of time. Well, let’s take a look:

  • Heart Disease
  • Muscle Degeneration
  • Leg Disorders
  • Back Pain
  • Foggy Brain
  • Neck and Shoulder Strain

So, now you are probably thinking to yourself, “This can’t be true, I’m just sitting.” Truth is that our bodies are designed for movement. And extended periods of inactivity don’t allow it to function as it should. When muscles are slow to burn fat and blood flow decreases, fatty acids have more opportunity to clog arteries. Extended periods of sitting have been linked to high blood pressure, high cholesterol and heart disease.

Muscles that have been restricted in use begin to degenerate. Also, slumping while sitting puts strain on muscles to compensate where they shouldn’t. Leaving a person with a poor posture and pain, not to mention poor circulation especially in the legs. In terms of brain function, decreased blood flow also affects the oxygen getting to the brain, hence we experience brain fog. It is more difficult to concentrate on the task at hand, plus we feel sluggish.

We do not need to let this be our outcome if we take steps today to change our sedentary lifestyle. To counter the affects of a sedentary lifestyle requires awareness of our daily schedule. In other words, how much time we are spending sitting each day. Choosing to break the monotony with walks, exercise, taking the stairs, stretching, and seeing a chiropractor for periodic adjustments all help.

While we may not be able to change our commute, our job, or even the conveniences of modern society, we can change what we do in our free time.

Make Your Training Personal

Walk into any local gym or fitness center and chances are you will soon encounter a personal trainer. Couple that with all the equipment, free weights, and class offerings and it’s no wonder that some people steer clear of these places. It can be a bit overwhelming and confusing, plus uncomfortable if your goal is to lose weight. Not because you want to lose weight, but because you might see people there who don’t need to lose weight. There’s nothing worse than comparing ourselves to others, especially in a public setting.

People may mistake personal trainers as those who just help us use the exercise equipment. And while that may be a part of what they do, it certainly is not all. Training, whether it’s to lose weight, build strength, or trim inches, requires specific strategies to make it personal to you. Adding to that any physical limitations a person might have due to a past injury or surgery, plus their current physical condition makes working out even more personal. The good news is that the ideal personal trainer will develop a program that is unique to the person. Utilizing benchmarks to note progress. A personal trainer will always be ready to make changes, too, always keeping in mind the individual’s goals.

If the idea of joining a gym intimidates you, that’s okay. It’s also normal. But, that should not be a reason to stop you from getting healthy again. Perhaps you don’t know where to start. Ever Suffer From Leg Cramps?

If you have ever suffered from a muscle cramp you know how painful they are. Cramps can happen at any time and at any age. Plus, they can occur in any part of the body, too. The most common type of cramp is what many call a “charlie horse”, that is one that happens in the calf muscle. It’s important to understand why they happen and how to relieve the pain because as we age, the likelihood of experiencing cramps increases to 70% over the age of 50.

Being active does not reduce the chances a person will have a cramp. In fact, being active can actually cause one. The key is understanding what triggers a cramp to occur in the first place, so you can do your best to avoid one.

  • Lactic acid buildup in the muscles caused by overexertion.
  • Causing muscles to overstretch whether from exercise, chores, or horseplay.
  • An imbalance of the minerals that are responsible for muscle contraction and relaxation.
  • Dehydration whether from sweating or medications.
  • Long-term inactivity such as from sitting on an airplane.
  • A symptom of an underlying illness.
  • Simply getting older.

Cramp triggers can happen individually or together. For example, someone may have an overseas flight and also be taking a statin drug for high cholesterol. The point is, be aware of your potential triggers based on your age, health, and physical activity. If you do experience a leg cramp, there are several steps you can take to help relieve the pain. At the first sign of a cramp, rub the muscle affected. You can also, stretch your calf muscle by flexing your foot up and down. If you can walk, try that, or even on your tiptoes. Relax the muscle with heat. If there is a nerve involved, chiropractic care can help, too.

Staying properly hydrated is important in preventing dehydration which can lead to cramps. You can also ensure your mineral intake is sufficient by eating potassium and magnesium rich foods, like bananas and cantaloupe, or use supplements. Also, always begin any exercise regiment with stretching. Plus, as you sleep, use a pillow under your calves to elevate your feet or lay on your side with loose blankets. Ultimately, cramps can be prevented through proper hydration, a well balanced diet, and regular exercise. Complementing that with the care a chiropractor provides will help eliminate nerve irritation, as well.

What to Expect With Extra Weight

One of the most popular books for soon-to-be parents is the book What to Expect When You Are Expecting. It gives a month to month description of what to expect throughout a woman’s pregnancy. Offering tips, developmental stages of the baby, and answers to common questions and concerns. A mother’s overall health can help the baby thrive through proper nutrition, adequate sleep, exercise, wellness check-ups. A lot of thought and preparation can go into having a baby. The question we need to ask ourselves is why do we stop caring for our body once the baby is born?

Granted this is a general statement, not one that applies to everyone. However, statistics tell us that this is true as a vast majority of adults are overweight or obese. Did the perception change because the baby was born and no longer dependent on the mother? The reality is that the baby is still dependent on it’s mother and those who care for it. However, if a parent or caregiver is not healthy due to excess weight, it does impact the child, whether we admit it or not.

Our children need us and we owe it to them to make that happen. Choosing to not take care of our body with:

  • poor nutrition
  • a sedentary lifestyle
  • not exercising
  • excessive drinking
  • smoking
  • extra weight
  • fast food

not only sets a bad example for our children, but also impacts our quality of life with them. We are purposely adding risk factors that could very likely shorten our lives. And what excuse do we really have? Are we too busy? Putting our kid’s needs first? Minimizing our situation? There are countless excuses we could use. Our bodies are not designed to function with extra weight as it impacts every system in our body.

Eventually this weight is likely to cause a major setback in our health, because our body simply can’t withstand the strain the extra weight. Just like a shelf that holds more than it should. Eventually it will collapse, dropping everything it was holding. Was the shelf poorly designed? Was it flawed in some way? No. It was simply not designed to carry more than it should. Are we any different than this shelf?

Text Neck

On average, the human head weighs between 10 to 12 pounds. Proper posture ensures the weight is evenly distributed at the top of the spine. With the advent of technology and mobile devices, we find ourselves with a posture epidemic. One that has shifted the alignment in such a way that has created a set of symptoms we now call “text neck.” As our head moves forward and leans down it increases the strain of the weight of our head on the rest of our body. Thus creating a domino effect of pain and discomfort as our body compensates for this change in posture.

What we may not realize is that hunching even slightly to look at our mobile device increases the strain our body must bear. For example, looking down only at a 15 degree angle increases the strain on our neck by 27 pounds. Likewise, based on the picture above, a 30 degree angle strains the neck with 40 pounds, and so on. Because we are so accustomed to this poor posture, it may be difficult to imagine what this strain feels like. To help, we give our patients a 10 pound ball to hold with their elbow resting on a table. As they move the weighted ball forward it becomes increasingly difficult to hold it. Eventually, they are unable to any longer.

The point is this, we are creating undo stress on our neck, spine, and muscles. This stress creates compression between the vertebrae which then leads to chronic neck and shoulder pain, in addition to headaches. Because of the trends in technology, many people do not even realize the cause of these symptoms. The good news is that we have the power to correct text neck with a few simple exercises and being more mindful of what we are doing.

First, pay attention to where you are holding your device. Raise it up so you are looking straight at it versus down. If you are looking at a laptop or desktop, do what you can to prevent yourself from looking down at it. Adjust the height of your chair or table. To help relieve the stain on your neck and shoulders you can also do this simple exercise of squeezing your shoulder blades together. You can also work on keeping your ears over your shoulders as much as possible throughout the day, too. Text neck is also treated by a chiropractor and massage therapist, as well. Regular visits to both will help to keep your body in alignment, improve posture, and eliminate any pain you might be experiencing.

Technology will always be a part of our world. Rather than modifying our body to suit technology, we must make technology modify to suit us. If we don’t our body will let us know with symptoms of pain and discomfort.

Standards of Care in Chiropractic

Standard, defined as “a level of quality or attainment.” Synonyms for the word standard are quality, guideline, norm, and ideal. Our daily life involves many standards, or guidelines, of care including:

  • the food pyramid
  • an academic grading scale
  • recommended daily physical activity
  • ideal weight
  • adequate sleep
  • water intake
  • alcohol consumption
  • medical check-ups

Research helps to define the standards we live by today. For example, the surgeon general determined after conclusive research that smoking was bad for your health, specifically linked to lung cancer. Therefore, not smoking is a standard for optimal health just as 150 minutes of moderate exercise per week is the standard. Having guidelines helps us to live as healthy as possible. In the field of chiropractic, there is also a standard of care, too.

One of the most popular myths about chiropractors is that you need to keep going once you start. Yet there is some truth to this myth because of the physicality of the adjustment. The doctor is training the body, much like we do when we exercise. Stopping the adjustments is similar to stopping exercising. We all know what happens when we stop working out. Our weight starts to creep up. We lose muscle mass. Our energy level declines. Chiropractic adjustments keeps our body in alignment so it can function as it is intended to. Without this type of care, daily life negatively impacts our body. Aches and pains return.

Ironically, despite knowing about guidelines and recommendations society tells us that we don’t always follow them. If we did, we would not have an obesity epidemic, smoking would cease, and every student would receive an A. Free will gives us the choice and all too often we choose poorly. The good news however is that we can choose differently which can reverse unhealthy trends.

Standards of care exist chiropractic, as well. This standard is one adjustment per week as it is meant to be proactive. Just like visiting your dentist every 6 months to prevent cavities. Visiting the chiropractor keeps the body functioning as it should rather than letting the daily wear and tear of life compromise it. And yes, that is exactly what life does. We go through each day incurring a series of micro-traumas from falling, playing a sport, working out, and poor posture. Yet a simple and painless adjustment once a week and significantly offset this.

The choice is ultimately ours to make. And while knowledge is power, it really only is when we do something with it.

A Torn Meniscus?

Not too long ago, a patient came to us with what she thought was a torn meniscus. It was obvious that she was having a difficult time walking and was in pain. She thought it was a torn meniscus because several people suggested that it probably was based on the symptoms she was experiencing. Their first recommendation was to visit an orthopedic surgeon. She decided to not take their advice, and visit her chiropractor.

Experiencing pain of this nature, most people to jump to the conclusion that the problem is far worse than it actually is. It is also very common for those same people to spend a lot of unnecessary time and money (and worry!) pursuing a result that would be the exact same if they chose to see a chiropractor first. Yes, an orthopedic surgeon is highly credible and reputable doctor. However, the path to see this specialist is vastly different than that of a chiropractor.

Typically, the wait time to see the orthopedic is days and the cost is higher due to the nature of the profession. Additional testing to confirm the exact nature of the injury could involve x-rays and an MRI followed up by another visit a day or two later. Depending on the doctor’s availability.

For this particular patient, she made the decision to see her chiropractor first. Upon the first visit, she learned that it was not a torn meniscus but rather a tight iliotibial (IT) band. Imagine her delight when she was told that! No extended waiting, no unnecessary scans, no wasted worry, plus her visit was more cost effective, too. Her treatment involved a stretching exercise and using a foam roller. Within a week her pain was significantly diminished and she was able to sleep and walk better. Today, she is completely pain free and able to run without pain with her dog. Her quality of life is back!

Remember that people mean well when they offer their thoughts on what type of injury you have. They could be right and they could be wrong, too. Seeking care from a chiropractor first can give you peace of mind with shorter wait times, lower costs, and a quicker recovery. There is absolutely nothing wrong with not jumping to conclusions if you don’t have to.

Reversing Type 2 Diabetes

According to a 2015 study by The Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), nearly 50% of Americans have type 2 diabetes or elevated blood sugar which increases a person’s risk for developing it. Insulin resistance is associated with type 2 diabetes and lack of production with type 1. This resistance is typically the result of three things: genetics, lack of exercise, poor eating habits, and excess weight. Recently, studies are indicating that by incorporating certain lifestyle changes, a person can reverse their diabetes where medications may no longer be necessary.

The average person with type 2 diabetes spends approximately $85,000 over their lifetime treating their disease and its complications. With almost 50% of the U.S. population is affected by type 2 diabetes, the economic burden on our healthcare system is substantial. We have experienced a 41% increase in healthcare costs from 2007 to 2012. However, there now hope that this trend can be reversed.

Taking proactive steps with one’s lifestyle can positively impact the effects of type 2 diabetes. A small clinical trial of 30 individuals in England revealed that a strict liquid diet put nearly half into remission for 6 months. This select group had lived with the disease for up to 23 years! CNN highlighted a New Yorker recently diagnosed with type 2 who chose to bypass medications and “do it himself.” Through diet and exercise, he was able to lose 40 pounds and keep his glucose numbers below the diabetic range for 2 years (at the time the article was published in 2011). Unfortunately, people do not realize the devastating impact type 2 diabetes has on your health. It causes nerve and kidney damage, loss of vision, heart attack and stroke.

Intervening to prevent, delay, or even reverse this debilitating disease requires commitments.

  • Exercising regularly.
  • Eating a nutritionally dense diet.
  • Maintaining a healthy weight for your height.
  • Getting sufficient sleep each night. 
  • Lowering your daily stress levels.

Remember, you are not a statistic. Never underestimate the power you have to change your destiny!

Knee Pain

Knee pain. There can be many causes for it. Initially we might ignore it, that is until it starts to interfere with our daily life. When that happens our immediate reaction is thinking we need surgery. Pain equals problem, right? While the pain does indicate there is a problem, it doesn’t necessarily mean surgery. In fact, quite the opposite is true.

Recently, a patient came into the office for her periodic adjustment. Dr. Damron noticed that she was limping. When he asked her why she explained she had been experiencing knee pain. She was having trouble walking up and down stairs and the pain was even keeping her up at night. She indicated that her parents felt she had a torn meniscus and should get in to have an MRI. Dr. Damron asked if he could take a look.

His assessment revealed not a torn meniscus but rather a patella (or knee cap) was not tracking as it should. The reason had to do with her IT band (iliotibial band) which is a ligament that runs down the outside of the thigh from the hip to the shin. It appeared that it was tight and inflamed which was causing the knee to become destabilized. An unstable knee cap will cause it to pull to one side or another. A common phrase heard when this occurs is patella tracking.

Dr. Damron’s course of recommended treatment included leg exercises that focused on strengthening the knee and relaxing the IT band with a foam roller. The first night the patient was able to sleep without pain. A major milestone! The following day she was able to walk up and down stairs a bit more freely without debilitating pain. The pain was still there, but it was much more tolerable only after two exercise sessions.

In conclusion, it’s is important to drop assumptions when it comes to pain. That pain does not equate surgery. Most importantly, that chiropractors do far more than simply provide spinal adjustments. Their scope of care encompasses the entire body with a holistic approach that minimizes healthcare costs. If you have yet to see a chiropractor, perhaps it’s time to align yourself with one in the new year to give yourself exactly what your body needs.

Dr. Damron established DCW because he was fed up with the current health model. Statistics continue to show an increase in pharmaceutical prescriptions to patients every day. Although he does believe some medications are necessary, he believes the majority of what is prescribed is actually harmful to the patient’s long-term health, creating another set of healthcare issues as a result. Dr. Damron believes DCW’s unique approach to achieving overall wellness will revolutionize the healthcare industry through collaborative care utilizing chiropractic, massage therapy, rehabilitation, and nutrition. The DCW focus addresses the whole person versus a only symptom and uncovers the root cause. He also believes that education is vital to sustaining a healthier more vibrant lifestyle as well. His goal is to create a healthier society and a better place for our children to live.
Dr. Damron began his medical career with a Biology Degree from Wright State University in 2002. He went on to receive his Doctorate of Chiropractic from the prestigious Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, Florida in 2007. While attending Palmer, he had the opportunity to travel abroad to Madagascar and provide chiropractic care to the native Malagasy people. Dr. Damron has continued his post-graduate studies with a focus on nutrition, rehabilitation, and functional medicine.
Dr. Damron and his wife, Kristy, reside in West Chester with their two young children, Graden and Isabelle. An avid Buckeye fan, Dr. Damron enjoys playing the guitar in a band with his college friends, watching/playing any sport, cooking, reading, and attending concerts, especially the Dave Matthews Band and Foo Fighters.

Dr. Washam was introduced to Chiropractic by his mother at the age of 16. She was working for a Chiropractor at the time, experiencing all the benefits that Chiropractic care had to offer, and thus began taking Dr. Washam and his siblings in for regular adjustments. Dr. Washam had been experiencing painful bouts of Strep Throat from the age of 8, which always included a 10 day course of antibiotics. While under Chiropractic care his doctor convinced him to avoid the antibiotics and receive Chiropractic adjustments instead. To his amazement, Dr. Washam’s strep throat symptoms had vanished within three days and he never had an issue from that point forward. He was so astounded by his experience that he fell in love with Chiropractic and decided that was the path for him. He wanted to commit his life to helping people through the power of Chiropractic, just as it had helped him.
Dr. Greg Washam began his college education at the University of Cincinnati, studying biology. After he made the decision to become a Chiropractor, he attended Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, MO. While at Logan, he received his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Life Sciences in 2009. He received his Doctorate of Chiropractic in 2011. Dr. Washam was presented with various awards upon graduation. These included Dean’s List honors, the Senior Intern Assistant Award, and the Award of Excellence from the Division of Research. He has completed many hours of post graduate education focusing on nutrition, supplementation and injury recovery.
Dr. Washam and his wife Kassie reside in Mason, Oh with their two daughters, Lillian and Wren. In his free time, Dr. Washam enjoys cooking, exploring new restaurants, touring local craft breweries and reading. He also spends a great deal of time outdoors with his family and his Beagle, Willow. Dr. Washam is a music enthusiast and listens to all genres of music. He especially loves classic rock from the 60’s and 70’s. His favorite band of all time is Led Zeppelin.

Brooke had never been to a medical office where she really felt like they cared more about her than her money until she came to DCW as a patient. DCW made it so easy to arrange financial payment with, they were compassionate, dedicated and most importantly 100% honest. The team addressed all aspects of her health and well-being, above and beyond chiropractic care. Her initial impression of chiropractic offices were that they would only adjust then send her on her way. She realized that she was wrong. Because of her experience as a patient at DCW she realized she wanted to pursue a career within it. She saw everything she wanted in healthcare at DCW. Finally, a place where patient care really comes first! She comes to DCW with a degree in Nursing and a background in finance. When someone asks her “Why DCW?” she cannot think of one reason why not.
Brooke has a background in business finance and computer technology prior to the start of her medical career. She attended Southern State and obtained an Associate’s Degree in Science, R.N. Sh began working from DCW in December of 2014.
Brooke has five beautiful girls from 15 to 6 years old. She is married to Jamey Snyder who has two boys of his own. She lives on a two acre farm in the country with horses, dogs, cats, and a pot belly pig. Brooke enjoys spending time with her very active family and watching their kids play sports.

Nicole always wanted a career that was focused on helping people. It wasn’t until she drove past the Dayton School of Medical Massage on a daily basis that it became clear what she was meant to do. She enrolled as soon as she could and it has been the best decision she has ever made. She loves the feeling of knowing she has alleviated someone’s pain and possibly made their day better in some way. She had been working alongside chiropractors for over 7 years before joining the DCW team. Before DCW she never really felt her opinions and insights were valued or even asked for, which she felt hindered patient care and the effectiveness of each treatment. At DCW she feels valued and part of a practice that is focused on changing the approach of wellness with cohesive and effective patient care.
Nicole is a graduate of the Dayton School of Medical Massage and obtained her license in 2008. She utilizes Deep Tissue, Swedish and Thai massage techniques to relieve pain, tension, and stress while increasing range of motion and flexibility.
Nicole is married to her husband of 5 years and they one daughter, Rylee, and one child on the way due in September 2016. As a family they enjoy camping, hiking and spending time at the lake during the summer.

Erika Pantona, Insurance Specialist

Erika started coming to DCW in 2010 after spending two years in substantial pain after an injury. She had spent those two years at various specialists and taking medications to simply get up in the morning due to the pain. She was 18 when she found herself facing a major, life altering surgery (SI Fusion) and realized there must be another way. When she began her treatment plan at DCW she started to have days with little or no pain. She stopped taking her medications and realized they had been affecting her overall mood. In 2015 Erika joined the DCW team because they allowed her to live her life once again. She wants to prevent others from living in pain like she did unnecessarily, and to receive the benefits of chiropractic care.
Erika is well versed in the insurance industry with her previous employment at Express Scripts and Anthem.
Erika has two siblings and resides in Liberty Township. In her spare time she enjoys traveling and hiking with her family.

After moving to Ohio in 2010, I was in need of some relief from minor pain associated with working in customer service fields for 15 years. I was interested in seeking alternative forms of therapy and found a chiropractor in our small town. After going for a few visits, the therapy seemed somewhat outdated compared to what I had researched. In talking with my husband, he remembered that he knew someone who was a chiropractor. After just a few visits with Dr. Damron, I definitely noticed a difference in his techniques and style. It was nice to see results and feel like I was being listened to as a patient, not just heard…something you don’t always feel with doctors. After being a patient for several years, the opportunity came about to join the DCW team. It would be something different from what I had done in my past, however I knew my passion for working with people would translate well into helping patients receive the best care possible. I believed in the mission of DCW as a patient, and I am excited to be part of living that mission every day. 
 I am originally from St. Louis, MO. I graduated from the University of Missouri – Columbia with a degree in Secondary Education – Language Arts. I worked in restaurant/catering management for several years before starting a career in retail management and training.
In that position, I met my husband, Matt, who is from Wilmington, OH. After we got married in 2010, I moved to Wilmington. Realizing retail wasn’t where my heart was any longer, I began working as a substitute teacher in the Clinton County area. Matt and I live in Wilmington with our 6 year old German Shepard, Dale. I enjoy camping, boating, riding 4-wheelers, and spending time with family and friends. I love St. Louis Cardinals baseball and am a recently converted Cincinnati Bengals fan.
